The leather used in our saddlery is regarded as the highest quality in the automotive industry: Lavalina® leather is a barrel-dyed cowhide of the absolute luxury class, possessing all the benefits of natural leather. The raw material comes exclusively from selected farms in southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland or northern Italy. This leather, which is extremely pleasant to the touch, is of unique quality in terms of supple feel, climate comfort and appearance. Its natural properties can be felt with every touch; it is particularly temperature-regulating, moisture-regulating and breathable.
In a special additional tanning process, the individual fibres of the cowhide are coated with particularly valuable, natural oils. The properties of the natural leather, its silky sheen and its silky-soft feel are thus preserved. The natural marks and signs of life remain visible on the leather’s surface, giving Lavalina® leather its distinctive character, which is appreciated by connoisseurs worldwide.
Selected cowhides from southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland or northern Italy. Thanks to short transport routes, the raw material does not need to be chemically preserved before undergoing a complex vegetable tanning process in Germany.
A dyeing process developed over many years guarantees minimal colour variations and a natural, long-lasting appearance.
As natural as the leather itself; clean gently using destilled water and a little neutral soap.
Moisture-regulating for maximum climate comfort and temperature regulation. Its open-pored and skin-friendly properties make Lavalina® leather highly breathable, preventing typical cold shocks and sweating.
Mineral pre-tanning. All colours are water-soluble and free from chemical solvents. Environmentally conscious, ecologically sound, recyclable – pure nature!
